Health and beauty retailer Savers opened its first shop in Woking last week.

Located in part of the Peacocks centre corner site once occupied by River Island, the store opened to an enthusiastic ribbon-cutting ceremony and an arch of pale blue and white balloons echoing the company’s colours.

Savers is owned by the global retail giant AS Watson, which also owns Superdrug, although the two are run as separate businesses.
