A DRIVER had to be cut from her car following a two-vehicle collision in Mayford.

Emergency services were called to Guildford Road at around 9.45am this morning following a crash between a grey Ford Focus and a black Ford Fiesta.

Firefighters were forced to pry open the roof of the Ford Focus to release the trapped driver who was treated for minor injuries by paramedics at the scene.

Two women were taken to the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford with minor injuries.

The road was closed between Prey heath Road and Burdenshott Road as police cleared debris and the vehicles were removed.

The road has now been reopened.
