Victoria Place has donated £500 to Surrey Wildlife Trust following their recent partnership over the summer.

The summer campaign was themed Woodland Wonderland with Victoria Place and Surrey Wildlife Trust collaborating to encourage visitors to help restore and protect the woodlands which surround Woking.

The money donated will go towards a fund being created by Surrey Wildlife Trust which will allow local schools and community groups to buy and plant trees in their areas.

With the invaluable support of volunteers and members, Surrey Wildlife Trust cares for more than 5,000 hectares of land for wildlife in Surrey. They also work with other organisations and landowners to protect and connect wildlife sites across the county and inspire local communities and young people to care for wildlife where they live.

“We’re excited about the work we’ll be doing with schools and community groups to create greener spaces.”

John Paul Jackson, centre manager of Victoria Place, said: ‘’We were delighted to support Surrey Wildlife Trust throughout our summer campaign.

“Our woodlands are really precious and the fact these surround Woking makes it all the more important to raise awareness about protecting them.’’
