ALL 144 episodes of the hit 1990s TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer will be related at Woking’s Rhoda McGaw Theatre through the eyes of the one person who knows it inside and out.
Buffy Revamped is a one-man show that delivers an epic dose of nostalgia for Buffy aficionados and novices alike. Its character is Spike, the infamous and widely-feared vampire from the TV series.
Spike is played by Brendan Murphy, whose last show FRIEND (The One with Gunther) won the best play category at the World Wide Comedy Awards.
This one-man satire is the latest in a growing catalogue of loving parodies written and performed by Brendan. It comes to Woking fresh from an award-winning run at Edinburgh Fringe
An experienced improviser, Brendan is a member of BBC Radio One’s BattleActs! and a guest player for Second City and Monkey Toast.
As one half of the Olivier Award-nominated Potted Potter, he has toured extensively across the US and Canada, including a residency at Bally’s, Las Vegas, winning best new show in the Best Of Las Vegas Awards.
Brendan is co-writer of the satirical comedy podcast NonCensored with Rosie Holt, and the forthcoming musical comedy The Last Library with Oliver Izod.
Other writing credits include The Mawaan & Emily Show (BBC Asian Network), SO! Beano (Sky Kids) and Comedians In Quarantine (Comedy Central) with co-writer Kiell Smith-Bynoe.
Buffy Revamped is at the Rhoda McGaw on Sunday 28 May and will be touring the UK until August.
