A STUNNING three-legged Bengal cat called PJ is looking for his forever home.
The two-year-old is living at RSPCA Millbrook in Chobham while he searches for his new family.
Millbrook’s Debbie Pearce said: “Handsome PJ has been through quite a bit recently, so it’s definitely time he found himself a new home.
“He came to us after he was involved in a road traffic accident, in which he suffered a few injuries.
“The worst one was to his front left leg, which was badly fractured.
“PJ spent a long time at Finsbury Park Animal Hospital in London, where they tried several things to help his leg, including splints and screws/pins.
“But eventually it was decided the best thing was for him to have his injured leg removed.
“He does brilliantly on three legs. Sometimes he seems to forget he is missing one.
“Missing a leg does not stop PJ hurtling around his pen and jumping about. He still has quite a bit of scarring but his wound has healed really well.
“He is a vocal boy, which is typical of his breed. He likes to chat and absolutely loves having people around.
“We think PJ would like to have company for a large part of the day.
“He is playful, affectionate – sometimes he can be a bit in your face – and loves food.
“We would like PJ to live in a rather rural area that is not too built up, given what he has been through, so no busy roads or railways nearby.
“He could live with children of junior-school age as long as they have been around cats before.
“But he will need to be the only pet in the home as, typically, Bengals do not like sharing attention.
“Adopters with experience of the breed would be good but not essential for him.
“It would be a good idea to read up on the breed before applying.”
If you are interested in providing a home for PJ, visit www.rspca-millbrook.org.uk to complete an application form which will be emailed automatically to Millbrook.
Please remember, though, that application does not guarantee adoption.
