A GOLDSWORTH Park family in social housing waited several months for repairs to start on their badly damaged kitchen ceiling – and then found the work done so far described by tradesmen as shoddy and laughable.

The family’s plight comes after several tenants approached the News & Mail about delays in repairing faulty or broken boilers over Christmas.

They live in a first-floor maisonette in French’s Wells, part of an estate managed by New Vision Homes (NVH) on behalf of Woking Borough Council.

The News & Mail has reported several complaints about the time it took for NVH to arrange effective repairs to domestic boilers. We now know of at least six tenants who were without heating and hot water during the festive season.
