A CUB Scout leader who sexually abused a schoolboy was today beginning a three-year prison sentence.
Judge Christopher Critchlow said Daniel Bisacre had betrayed the trust of the youngster's parents
Bisacre, 33, appeared at Guildford Crown Court today for sentencing after being found guilty at an earlier trial of two counts of sexual activity with a child.
Mr Critchlow said: "Before you committed the offences you were a man of good character, by committing these offences you have lost a great deal. You were trusted by the parents of all boys in your charge - you have betrayed that trust.
"I hope that while in custody you take the opportunity to discuss your behaviour."
Bisacre, also charged with possessing nearly 1000 images of child pornography on his computer in September 2011, was found guilty by a jury after a three-day trial in November.
The court head during the trial that Biascre, of Tringham Close, Knaphill, cornered the 11-year-old and performed an indecent act on him on two separate occasions.
It was revealed that that first incident took place in the showers at Staines swimming pool and the other on a scout trip.
Bisacre was suspended from his position as 2nd New Haw Scout Group leader in May 2010 when police were first contacted by the boy's parents.
He was placed on the sex offenders’ register and banned from working with children.
He will serve consecutive sentences of nine months for possession of indecent images and 27 months for the two counts of sexual activity with a child.
