A CHOBHAM Scout leader has raised more than £900 after taking on all comers in a 12-hour tennis stint.

Ralph Risk played in support of the village Scout group, securing £912 from 46 supporters on JustGiving, where he had a £500 target.

Ralph challenged people to play a set against him for a suggested minimum donation of £10.

“As a Scout and Cub leader, I have seen how Scouting can have a positive impact on children, raising confidence and providing an opportunity to try new things,” he said.

During his 12 hours on court he played 26 sets, winning 156 games.

“It was an adventure,” he said. “When my knees ask me if it was worth it, I’ll say ‘Yes, it was’.

“Thank you to everyone who sponsored me and to Chobham Tennis Club for putting on the barbecue.”
