STREETS ahead in amateur stage production, Byfleet’s annual panto last week was (so it has been said) ‘the best yet’.
Directed by Linda Street, Sleeping Beauty contained all the magical ingredients that make the truly British tradition the entertainment we know and love today.
Byfleet Village Hall was buzzing with excitement as hundreds of visitors piled in to see the sell-out production of the classic fairytale.
With fabulous costumes, superb dancing and singing, plenty of laughs and excellent direction, the moral tale was, true to form, rounded off with an ever so happy ending .
Lured in by the Byfleet Players’ reputation for producing rave successes, the four performances were all packed to the hilt.
Linda said: “It was brilliant and so many people turned up. Support from the village has been amazing. We are all a bit sad now it’s over. I can’t wait to direct the next one.”
