FANS flocked to Brooklands to celebrate a wonderful legacy of motorcycling at the Weybridge venue alongside the best of today’s bikes and super-machines.

Motorcycle enthusiasts were warmly welcomed as they enjoyed the spectacle.

The event showcased some of the historic bikes in the museum collection, including those featured on Yesterday channel’s popular Secrets of the Transport Museum, many of which were demonstrated by the Brooklands motorcycle team.

Test Hill as ever provided a unique opportunity to see how the race bikes from yesteryear fared against today’s super-machines.

Always a crowd pleaser, the hill was constructed in 1909 to test acceleration and power and has been in use for events since the museum opened.

Bookings were also opened to allow people to take their own bikes up Test Hill during the session.

Motorcycle day is just one event at Brooklands Museum to take visitors on a journey through time at the birthplace of British motorsport and aviation.

Brooklands Museum is inviting visitors to step back in time and experience history like never before with the launch of its latest campaign, Be Transported.

With a focus on bringing the past to life, the museum offers a unique opportunity to witness incredible history up close and to be inspired by the ingenuity and innovation of those who came before us.
