A MOTORCYCLIST has been left with serious injuries after he was involved in a collision on the M25 last night.
The collision, which also involved a white van, took place on the southbound carriageway of the M25 between J13 and 12 around 7.30pm.
The motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital where he remains. The driver of the van was uninjured.
The motorway was closed for five hours to allow the emergency services to tend to the rider and to carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
"We are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and who witnessed the collision, or the manner of driving immediately prior to the incident, to come forward straightaway," said a Surrey Police spokesperson.
"We are also looking for dash cam footage which could assist our enquiries."
