AN eight-year-old girl wielded her litter-picker to clean up the streets and green spaces around Knaphill on Big Help Out Monday last week.

Juliet Tudoran filled a sack with discarded rubbish as her contribution to the volunteering initiative promoted by King Charles.

A pupil at Halstead Preparatory School in Horsell, Juliet had previously been involved in several events to raise money for charities.

“Litter picking event is one of her favourite activities and she has done it before with some of her friends,” said her mum, Simona.

“She decided she had to get involved by collecting rubbish as part of the the Big Help Out.”

Juliet has also raised money for Hobbledown Farm in Epsom and Surrey Poultry Association.

She has roller-skated in aid of the Great Ormond Street Hospital charity and organised a piano recital to collect money for the Turkey earthquake disaster appeal.
