POLICE investigating a stabbing in Weybridge are treating the incident as non-suspicious despite initially launching a murder investigation.
Officers and paramedics were called to Queens Road on April 16 where Czech Republic national Marcel Skyba had been found with a stab wound.
Despite an attempt to resuscitate the 43-year-old, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 26-year-old arrested on suspicion of murder was released on bail until June 7.
A post-mortem determined that the preliminary cause of Mr Skyba's death was stab wounds to the heart.
A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "A 26-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the death of Marcel Skyba at an address in Queens Road, Weybridge, in April, has had his bail cancelled."
"Following a thorough investigation, the incident is now being treated as non-suspicious and, pending any further information coming to light, the matter will be passed to the coroner's office."
